Your Family Will Rock and Roll at Heavy Metal Brewing Company

What do you get when you take delicious pizza and fantastic beer, mixed with family friendly atmosphere and a splash of Hair Band Metal Music?  The answer is Heavy Metal Brewing Company.   Located in the Vancouver Heights at The Old Tower Mall Area, Heavy Metal is the perfect place to go if you’re looking to get away from the commercial eateries.

When you first walk into Heavy Metal Brewing, you’re nose will be the first to be greeted by the aroma of mouth watering craft pizza and deli sandwiches.

The Heavy Metal Brewing menu is full of goodies that will make your belly happy.  If it’s pizza you’re wanting, may I suggest Communication Breakdown; Black Forest Ham, Bacon, Jalapenos, Bell Peppers, Pineapple with Alfredo sauce and a Five Cheese blend. 

Not in the mood for pizza?  That’s fine, try something from the deli, like The Rick “Reuben”; Fresh made‎ Focaccia – press-grilled to order with Thick Cut Pastrami and Loads of Kraut and Mustard! Served with Tim’s Kettle Chips, or maybe the Sweet Child O’ Mine; Hot gooey Smoked Provolone and Sharp Cheddar, with sauteed Portobello & Shitaki Mushrooms on a Toasted in house Fresh Hoagie Roll.

If the kiddos are along try something from the Kids menu, like the 1 Topping Mini Pie – a Personal Sized Pizza with Five Cheese Blend & 1 Topping, or maybe the Bagel Dog – a Sunrise Bagel Wrapped around All Beef Dog. Served with Chips and Juice.

Of course you’re going to need wash down the delicious food with an equally delicious beverage.

Heavy Metal Brewing Company is equipped with 27 beers on tap, kombucha, wine and an impressive selection of bottled beer in their coolers. Speaking of Beer, while you’re at Heavy Metal make sure you try one or all of their 3 beers:

•  Metal Meltdown IPA

  IPA · 7.5%  Great tasting IPA, done the Pacific Northwest way.  Subtle on the hops without losing any of the flavor.

• Painkiller Chocolate Cherry Stout

  Stout · 8.0%  My wife’s favorite.  The cherry and chocolate really make this a great tasting Stout.

• Slippery When Wet

  Blond Ale · 6.5%  My personal Favorite.  A perfect Lawnmower beer, light and refreshing.

  But it’s not just the food and beer that makes Heavy Metal Brewing Co. a great place to visit.  The moment you step inside Heavy Metal, you can feel the family friendly atmosphere.  There’s a casual and relaxed feeling that is felt both inside and outside.  From the Rock and Roll decor to the refinished picnic tables you sit on, this is truly a “family-friendly” environment.

  When I sat down with two of the three owners, David Miner and Todd Anderson, they told me that the family friendly feeling was not coincidence.  Both David and his wife Maile (also part owner of Heavy Metal) have children, as does Todd, “We wanted to make sure that the place we opened, wasn’t just an eatery, but a place that we would want to bring OUR family too.” says, David.  “When you’re an owner of a place like this, you’re here a lot, so it’s important that we and our family’s feel as comfortable as our customers”.

  

  With a name like Heavy Metal Brewing Company, you’d probably expect some Rock and Rolling going on while you’re enjoying your favorite pizza and beverage, right?  Well, don’t worry Heavy Metal has you covered.  Trivia Tuesday, Open Mic Wednesday, live music Friday and Saturday and even more events on the horizon will guarantee that you’ll have plenty to entertain you while you’re there. Plus, there are plenty of board and card games that are sure to keep you and the kiddos busy throughout your meal.
