    About the Great Train Show

The Great Train Show is the nation’s only coast-to-coast model train show. Founded in 2004, the shows have been managed by Train Show Incorporated since 2014 and have added new venues through the years to bring the train show to even more places. TSI is the same company that manages the World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour as well as the Great Midwest Train Show in Chicago and Greenberg’s Great Train & Toy Show in the northeast.

boxcarsThose looking to become involved with model railroading can learn about the different scales and gauges. Our shows offer free workshops on a variety of topics as well as demonstrations. Our shows also attract dealers from across the country that carry rare and hard to find items not offered in local hobby shops. If you’re interested in the hobby, you won’t find a better place for model railroading than the Great Train Show!

GTS-puyallup1smOur shows are designed to promote toy trains to even the youngest enthusiast. At most of our shows, there is a train that kids can ride. Kids will be amazed by the huge operating train layouts that are on display. Many make real train sounds and some even simulate live steam. Any child who comes to the show is admitted FREE! We want every child to have the opportunity to experience the wonderful world of model trains!

wghweb (4)600x600We are always looking for groups and individuals that would be willing to bring their layout to the show and share their love of model railroading with the general public. To offset the cost of transportation, our organization even pays an honorarium based on the size of the layout. For many of the clubs that have brought their displays to the show, this has been an excellent way to recruit new members. Visit our exhibitor area for more information about participating in a show.

If you have any further questions about our shows, please feel free to contact our staff. Specific information about each show is posted on our show schedule page.

We hope to see you at the next Great Train Show in your area!
